A project that's close to my heart is finally here! The United Forces, Crashover is live on Kickstarter until December, 25th.
An evil scourge bent on destroying Viktor Vetika and Phil Foulda, returns to the United Forces world. With an unpracticed understanding of the magical orb he possesses, Viktor calls upon the mystical item to summon help in defeating their greatest enemy. Instead of wielding a cosmic weapon, the orb destroys the best coffee shop in the neighborhood and opens a portal. The portal unleashes new baddies on the world. Driven by survival and burning need for his first cup of coffee, Phil takes the situation in hand and drags Viktor through the unknown portal with him. This unplanned action launches the duo into a series of adventures across the comic book worlds of Pink Lemonade, Wiltworthy, Evil Monkey Man, and Yeti or Not. Along the way, they gather allies, information, and items to defeat their greatest enemy—and things will never be the same.
Set across five different comic book worlds, United Forces Crashover is a fun, fish out of water, interdimensional adventure like Bill & Ted, mixed with the unpredictable turns of Rick & Morty, and a healthy dose of Evil Dead.*
This comic came to being on my podcast and I am fortunate to be the writer for the overall story. Along with my co-hosts, Gary Dufner and Phil Avelli, we have four other writer/artists crafting their chapters in this 30 page interconnected anthology. These amazing creators are: Nick Cagnetti, Bradley Littlejohn, Amanda Semler, Blake Seals, and Mauricio Leone.Â
90% of the book is complete—now we need the pledge support from everyone we know to put it in the hands of as many people as possible. With full funding (which we need), the book will go to print and ship in April. We're working hard to avoid the supply chain problems that hampered printing in 2020.
Please consider supporting this comic. It's a modest way to bring a smile to comic readers—and the eight creators who worked hard to make the United Forces, Crashover #1.
*Note: there is some salty language, so not a comic for the kiddos.
Thank you, Happy Holidays, and thank you.
