As promised, here’s the link to the ROGUES’ KINGDOM KICKSTARTER
Since I have you here, yesterday the comic book world lost one of it’s greats. Keith Giffen was an iconoclast, and both a great writer, and artist. His runs on the Legion of Super Heroes and the Justice League changed how I viewed comics, in both scope and humor. I hope he would approve of my words now.
I’ve been fortunate to have had only great encounters with my heroes and in 1994, I was lucky to be selected as Keith’s penciller for the new series, Division 13 for Dark Horse Comics. It was a joy and learning experience working with Keith, I only wish our partnership lasted longer. It’s funny, I looked at the pages I have from that comic a week ago.
Anyway, if you like comics, but haven’t read Keith’s work, do yourself a favor and check some of it out. You can find out more about him and his body of work on his Wikipedia page. Or go to your local comic book shop and ask them to recommend some of his comics.
Keith had a wicked sense of humor and I’ll leave you with his last joke. This was posted on his Facebook page by his family upon the event of his passing, just days before the New York Comic Con.
Funny on his won terms.
Rest well, captain.
